Are you considering a move to Thailand for business or personal reasons? Get ready for an amazing adventure! You’re about to immerse yourself in a rich, ancient culture, eat lots of fantastic food and live in a gorgeous country.

Want to know more about living in Thailand? Read on to gain insights into what to expect when you move to Thailand.

Thailand: A Variety of Landscapes
Do you like the beach? Would you prefer to live in a small city, surrounded by forests and rolling hills? Or do you love city life? Thailand has it all.

Thailand has hundreds of miles of coast line, with some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. There are also plenty of opportunities to live in smaller cities in the county’s north, where you’d be close to nature. Then, there’s the bustling metropolis of Bangkok, which like New York City, never sleeps.

Friendly People, Laidback Culture
Thais are renowned for their friendliness and acceptance of foreigners. That’s why tourism is such a major industry.

Thailand is also known for being a very laidback country. For people from countries where a slow-moving pace is seen as a disadvantage, they’ll have an adjustment to make to Thailand. However, if you’re looking to relax, you’ll feel right at home.

A Lower Cost of Living
One of the things that attract people to Thailand is the lower cost of living. You can save money by living in Thailand, if you’re careful.

The cost of accommodation in some parts of Thailand will be cheaper than those in Western countries. Bear in mind that living near the beach or in a major city such as Bangkok will be pricier.

Moreover, Thai restaurants are cheap, plentiful and delicious. Many Thais find it cheaper to eat out than to cook at home. Western restaurants will be more expensive, though.

Some Comforts of Home
If you’re looking to do banking with a large, well-known international firm, that’s possible in Thailand. There are a few of them that have branches in Bangkok.

In addition, if you’re moving to Thailand with your family and you need schooling options for your children, there are international schools there that will teach your kids English. It’s important to remember that the official language of Thailand is Thai, but there are plenty language courses that are available if you want to learn Thai.
